Why Visit the Red Dot Design Museum?
Is the Red Dot Design Museum Singapore worth visiting?
Yes. Red Dot Design Museum is Singapore's only museum dedicated to contemporary design, and one of only three Red Dot Design Museums in the world. If you are curious about how the world is designed, where design might take us next, and are looking for a different type of experience in Marina Bay, it is worth the visit.
What makes the Red Dot Design Museum different from other museums in Singapore?
Most Singapore museums focus on history, culture, art or science. The Red Dot Design Museum focuses entirely on design and innovation, and the thinking behind everyday objects and the ideas that may shape the world in the years ahead.
Do I need to be interested in design to enjoy the museum?
No. Most visitors are not designers. The museum is designed for everyone. It is a celebration of clever ideas, making it accessible and inspiring for anyone who appreciates creativity and smart solutions. You do not need a design background to understand the exhibition.

Exhibitions & The Museum Experience
What can I expect at the Red Dot Design Museum?
Two exhibitions. A Preview of the Future presents more than 500 award-winning design concepts from designers around the world. The Permanent Collection presents award-winning products with exceptional and timeless design, displayed throughout the museum up close.
Is the museum suitable for children and families?
Yes. The museum is a visual and inspiring space for families. That said, younger children may not grasp the technical design details, but there is an interactive activity where children can explore character-making and still have fun. Families often visit the museum cafe for gelato at the outdoor seating area, which overlooks a popular public playground.
How much are tickets to the Red Dot Design Museum Singapore?
Individual admission is S$12. Groups of four pay S$30 in total. Both include access to all exhibitions, A Preview of the Future and the Permanent Collection.
